Ronald J. Vles has been an Attorney-at-Law for almost 44 years and originally practiced in the field of Company Law, with an emphasis on Intellectual Property Law. Ronald was also an experienced litigator. Over the past 20 years Ronald had shifted his focus to Life Science. He specifically has been working for the pharmaceutical industry. His experience is, apart from the pharmaceutical / life science practice also in the areas of company and contract law, technology transfer, licensing and advertising. He now practices as an advisor. Ronald also pursues a variety of extra curricular pursuits, among others:
- Chairman of Socionext Foundation and Director of Socionext Africa , which provides a highly interactive, hands-on training in social innovation and entrepreneurship skills, also to young people in unprivileged rural areas of South Africa, focusing on the personal development, creating a solid foundation of practical skills and self awareness for successful development of social impact projects and rewarding learning experience;
- Board member of the Dutch chapter of the Israel headquartered foundation “Save A Child’s Heart”, which saves the life of children with serious heart problems from developing countries and stimulates. exchange of know how to those countries; Member of Council (Raad van Afgevaardigden) of Cancer Centre Amsterdam VUMc Member of the board of Trustees of The Ndlovu Care Group, South Africa, providing medical and social services in rural areas in South Africa;
- Chairman of Niped Research Foundation, part of the Niped Institute, stimulating sustainable health care and research to apply e-health for prevention, early diagnostics and treatment of chronic diseases and offering nationally the “Personal Health Check” ;
- Chairman of Foundation Photo Projects For Children, Ronald has among other things also been chairman of the supervisory board of the (national) Nederlands Photo Museum for more than 10 years and also was a member of the board of World Press Photo Foundation (1985-2005)
